We need an attractive book cover design for a Dutch book with the title 'Zo verkoop je je schoonmoeder' - in English:'How to sell your mother in law'.
The author (Erwin Wiggers) has written an attractive book about everything (everything!) a sales person needs to now about selling. We have chosen the title because the book is not focused solely on experienced sales people but on a very wide audience of readers who are interested in selling.
The book cover design should reflect this: it's a serious informative book, but also easy to read.
We need a complete book cover, including front, spine and back.
IMPORTANT: our office is closed and we are on holiday during the time this project is running. We will check the gallery and read your questions, but it might take a few days for us to reply! |

Please check our website (www.haystack.nl) and take a good look at the kind of book covers we use. We like book covers that are intelligent, stylish, colourful and contemporary.
Please use humor, but don't overdo it. The title is tongue in cheek, the design should be like that as well. No cheap solutions please, like the picture of an elderly lady on the cover. Try something more subtle.
Include our logo in the way we always do and make room for the isbn barcode on the back. Text on the back will be around 150 words. Include the title and author's name on the spine.
It must be possible to read the book title even when the book cover is published on the internet in postage stamp size.
Feel free to suggest covers with photographs or illustrations, but only if they are available through one of the affordable stock agency's like Dreamstime.com.
Size: 13,5 x 21,5 centimter. Spine will probably be around 2,5 centimeter.
If you want to be the winner you need to be able to send us the necessary files in a format that can be used in InDesign. |
