I am writing a book/ebook on how to publish on the iPad. I need a slick cover design for the (e)book. The title of the book is 'Publiceren op de iPad'. The author name is 'Wiebe de Jager'. |

Please include an image of the iPad/iPad screen and/or the iBooks app in the design. I will upload some photos that I made myself (9736 is probably the most useful, after some post processing), and also a screenshot of the iBooks app with some Dutch ebooks preloaded.
I think it would be nice to have the author's name and title to appear sitting in the 'bookcase' (please refer to my example design), but please feel free to come up with some other fresh ideas. Our 'eburon business' logo should also be included on the front and the spine.
At first, I only need an ebook cover (front only), but just to be sure, please make a complete cover (incl. spine and back). Please include the title and author's name on the spine. And please leave some room for the blurb and isbn barcode on the back.
The book size is not set yet, but 16 by 24 cm or 17 by 24 cm will do. A 3mm crop margin should be included for printing purposes. Spine width would be at about 8 mm. |

by the way; the contest ends on thursday the 22nd, 22.00 GMT, since I need the cover on the 23th already (unfortunately, pimtim didn't allow me to enter a shorter time schedule for this project- so please keep in mind that I will select a winner before the contest officially ends.

Another image which might be used. I like renderings of custom screenshots on existing photos of the iPad; that is what I did on this image.

A short update: ideally, the book title should still be readable when the cover image is scaled down to a width of 100 pixels (this is the thumbnail size of ebooks in the iBookstore).
