Title: Senior Marketing Professional (SMP)
New quality mark for marketers in Europe
The European Marketing Confederation introduced a new marketing title: the Senior Marketing Professional. NIMA (the Dutch Marketing Institute) may, as the only party in the Netherlands, issue this title. It is an international recognized quality mark for highly skilled marketers. The title stands for an up-to-date, experienced and qualified marketing professional. All Senior Marketing Professionals will be registered in a European database. People can use the title behind their name.
In order to make it more international recognized we want to develop a logo/trademark for the title.
The Logo will be used on the SMP website, on the certificates and most importantly, Senior Marketing Professionals are allowed to use it on their business cards, personal stationery and website. |

The logo/trademark needs to:
- explain where SMP stands for
- be something that people are proud of and something that people don’t want to loose
- must explain that it is a NIMA initiative = i.e. certified by NIMA
- should be clean, stylish, not too complicated as it needs to fit with different CI’s
- preferable not too many colors, or at least usable in black and/ or white
This kind of logo/ trademark are very common in the financial world(see examples in attachment)
- It should not be too long

For any new designs, please use only the letters SMP and the words Senior Marketing Professional certified by NIMA
We have decided to leave the subgroups out for now.
And please beware that people must be able to read the words when it is used on a business card for example.
