Hello creative world, we need your help to create a new PimTim logo, so we can present ourselves properly to the world. And the best way to do this is by using our own platform. |

WHO WE ARE:
We are a new, young and ambitious marketplace, where buyers and creatives connect to find unique designs, for a fair price and with good quality. Designs for a logo, businesscard, webdesign or a tattoo made by creative talent all over the world: from Brasil to China and from Africa to Finland.
PimTim wants to prove that there is creative talent everywhere. And PimTim makes it possible to connect and uncover that talent. We therefore challenge the traditional way of doing business in the graphical design industry and encourage designers and buyers all over the world to go into business together by means of a contest.
We want the buyers and designers to feel at home and have fun. We want to make PimTim a great user experience and that people all over the world get a chance to show their skills, can interact, learn from each other and earn some money along the way.
WHAT DO WE WANT:
As you can see the current logo is quite simple. Pim represents all the buyers and Tim represents all the designers. With this marketplace Pim and Tim will find each other (and live happily ever after…). And this happiness is represented by the two circles touching.
We think the current logo is too simple to present ourselves professionally worldwide. Therefore our project: create a new logo for PimTim to support the worldwide introduction of PimTim.
The new logo should reflect the Pim and Tim story as just described above. It should be fun, modern and should fit in the design of the website.
EXTRA:
Next to the prize we will also promote the creative, who has won, on the PimTim homepage with a link to her/his portfolio. |

It should be vector-based and colors can be changed.
We like the designs from Google, Twitter, Skype and Apple, but at the same time we also inspired by Nike, MTV and Sony's LittleBigPlanet
We also like handmade designs with pencil or pen, which could give the logo a more personal touch.
But please don't be caged by all directions and surprise us! We will give comments along the way and we trust your talent to make PimTim more professional! |

Hello there all, we are still busy with it and we are divided about which one should win. Tomorrow we will make a decision. Stay tuned with PimTim News.

We are still evaluating and discussing over here. Its quite a job: we checked all entries again and again and photoshopping possibilities. Yesterday we finished commenting the last halfhour-entries from which a new possible finalist was selected and today we are promoting another two 3stars to 4. We were clearly to fast sometimes with our judgement. They also have the potential we think.

This weekend we will make the final choice and the week(s) to come we will change the site accordingly.

We are going to evaluate all entries in the coming two days, so please don't withdraw your entries. We are going to check whether we gave everybody the right stars in retrospect, and it could be that by evaluating all 1000+ entries we overlooked something, so we maybe promote entries.
It could also be possible that we contact some of you to make some refinements on the entries to look whether we can make it better.

We had a nice diner, thank you, the clock is ticking and our minds sharpen every minute with every entry.
Our thoughts summarized once more: the pimtim story, clean and simple, subtle use of abstract symbols and a proud font.
We appreciate all your entries, effort and creativity very much, we enjoy it, we hope you do and we wish you success in the last hours!

We are going to take a break, because we have to eat something (its diner-time in Amsterdam) and then we are back.... (and maybe you all should also eat something)

Unbelievable! we anticipated many designs, but this many...
How many interpretations can one make about Pim and Tim? endless we know now. Thanks so far for all your creativity in variations, fonts, colours and stories.
We go to sleep now for a good rest and we wish you lots of success. The system is somewhat stretched, hang loose, we will survive. See you all tomorrow.

Summarized: we put most of the entries on top of the site to look whether it looked good and could stand the test of time. We played with them, checked them.
the following keywords we stated:
- timeless
- abstract use of circles
- pimtim story
- clean, crisp and subtle fun
So thats what we are looking for and that is what we found in the ones we promoted to 4 stars. In the last week we will be more critical to these points to get to the final 5 stars. Thanks already to help us in this phase and we wish you of course all the inspiration in the last days

Out of the wealth of designs we promote some of the three-stars to four-stars with explanation why we like them so the direction becomes sharper.
We have seen so many designs and styles (a big thank you) and it helped us to make up our mind which style we want to use in the coming years.

From the list of three stars we will promote some of them (also different styles) to four stars. This to make them better in the last week. We also will give more directions on what we have learned and in what directions we want to take PimTim. The last day we will give the five-star . We wish you success!

How we give the stars: The first two weeks we like to have different styles of our PimTim-logo. This to check and to make sure we get the right style. The three stars we give to those that are original and have a different view on the PimTim-logo (and it gives of course also potential new buyers a view of all the creative potential that is registered at PimTim, thank you for this).
